After graduating from the Ontario Veterinary College in 1980, Dr. Watson started her career in her hometown of Brampton. From there, she moved to Windsor to become the first female veterinarian to manage the Humane Society animal hospital. In 1989, she was lucky enough to move to Newmarket and become a partner, then owner of Holland Landing Animal Hospital. Dr. Watson and her husband live on a farm near Cookstown, where they have raised ostriches and Oldenburg horses. She loves to garden, take walks with the dogs in the woods on the farm and ride her horse, Bentley. They share the farm with the dogs - Peaches and Beezie, 3 horses, and a donkey named Meatball.
