Helping you choose the best foods for your pet's dietary needs.
At nutritional counselling sessions, a veterinarian will assess your pet's diet, eating habits, feeding schedule, and dietary requirements. Combined with an examination of your pet's health, our veterinarians will help select a new diet or change it to help improve your pet's health and growth. To discuss your pet's nutritional needs, call us at 905-853-3591.
Before you make any substantial changes to your pet's diet, please consult your veterinarian. There are pet parents who have made the switch to vegan or vegetarian diets. However, a veterinarian will be able to tell you if the change is suitable for your pet, considering their medical history and dietary requirements.
If your pet is allergic to certain foods, signs and symptoms of an allergy can include itchy skin, hives, gastrointestinal issues, abdominal pain, and lethargy. Other subtle signs can also include hyperactivity, weight loss, lack of energy, and aggression.
Loss of appetite can indicate an illness. If your dog hasn't eaten in a day, you should call your veterinarian right away. The vet can diagnose your dog and start treatment.
